How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6019769 / WPW10334178 Lever

This was a simple fix where I pulled the old lever off and pushed the new one on. 

The fix was fairly easy since the old slide lever broke off, no need to remove the old lever.. Just has to use some gentle force to get the new on. The metal is all aluminum and will bend if you use too much force. I found you had to ream out the lever some to get it to fully seat on the slide. 

Order part and installed. Very easy. 

Replaced the knob. 

New slider popped in with no issues. 

Ordered part. 

Purchased a new lever and used a thin flat tip screwdriver to hold up the support bar as I slid the new lever on. It now works just like new! 

The replacement handles snapped on easily. Toaster looks new again.

By ordering the part and installing this part as per instructions, we were able to have the appliance back up and running in very little time.
