How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP5263307 / W10404050 Lid Latch Assembly

Replaced the lid lock mechanism, I got the part in 2 days and it was a simple repair. 

I Googled the problem and immediately found it was caused by a faltering lid latch. I happened upon AppliancePartsPros.com website and watched a video on replacing the Lid Latch Assembly. I ordered the part after 9 pm on a Thursday with basic shipping and received the part on Saturday morning. It took me only 15 minutes to change it and that cured the problem. Thank you!!

Rereplace the door latch 

I followed the instructions on your instructional video. I am not much of a handy man. But your ste-by-step video gave me confidence. I ended up saving money and was proud of myself. Thank you. 

Replaced defective lid latch mechanism with new part from Appliance Parts Pros. The instruction video really helped in getting this project completed. Doing a small load of clothes now for a test run to see if problem is resolved. 

Self-Diagnosed a Lid Latch problem after calling an appliance service company and they stated a $110 service call to diagnose. Would be out in 4 days. I did a search on the internet based on my washers model number and came across Appliance Parts Pros website. 

I ordered the Lid Latch assembly kit and watch the super helpful video about how to replace this part. The video was very thorough and super helpful and with it was able to make the repair in 20 minutes! 

I Ordered the part. Great instructional video walked me through it. 

Replacing the Latch fixed the problem. I need to return the Lid Latch Assembly.
