How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP5984435 / W10810403 Washer Lid Latch Assembly

Replaced door and locking mechanism with new parts .

Ordered part from Appliance Parts Pro.com using their website and spec drawings. Watched their repair video to determine if I felt I could do repair. Ordered part from Appliance Parts Pro.com which came in two days. I had already taken washer apart so when part got here I completed disassembly, installed new part, reassembled washing machine and tested its operation. Thoroughly cleaned area and put machine in position and started doing laundry. 

Replaced the lid lock,after watching video the task was super easy! Hardest part is moving washer to make it more accessible. 

Replaced the Lid Latch assembly. 

Diagnosed the error code. Then Google the part and was able to purchase the part from you and replaced it. Washer is back up and running.
