How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6011817 / WP8182634 Door Switch Assembly

I watched your videos.... and bought. The parts.... THE CAME VERY FAST (THANKYOU).... and was easy to fix once shown how ..... Thanks again. .... money well spent ! 

Error Code F/H. The hot water inlet valve had black deposits in the screen that were difficult to remove. The black deposits were obviously slowing the hot water flow down to a trickle. Replaced the inlet valve assembly - problem solved. Error Code F/dU. At random times the door would not unlock. I had to remove the toe panel and reach up to manually pull the door unlock tab. A new door switch assembly appears to have solved the issue. 

The plastic latch piece on the door was twisted out of shape and that seemed like the easiest fix. After replacing it, it was clear the door was still not engaging the door switch inside the machine. so I ordered that part as well. After viewing a repair video on how to remove the boot gasket, I was able to access the old door switch assembly and swap it out for the new one. Bingo!! Washer works fine, wife is delighted, we saved a service call, and I feel like the man.

I replaced the door latch according to manufacturers recommendation. I also checked for loose wires. The repair went well. it only took five minutes thanks to the video you posted on how to replace the latch. 

After watching video supplied at your website, I decided to try the fix myself. All I needed was a torx driver and a flat head screw driver and did it in less than 15 minutes and saved myself at least $50 in service call fees. Thanks for making it so easy for me! 

Replaced door lock switch assembly and reseated the plugs on the CCU. 

Watching your video was great. The fix was easy and went exactly as the video showed. This was a very nice tool to offer your clients. If I need to purchase another part and the price is good, I will use your company again. 

Had to replace door switch assembly. By watching the video on your site, the repair job was a cinch. 

I took off the front cover, then the rubber boot around the door to allow access to the door switch assembly; I reached behind the front panel, disconnected the three power lines; reconnected the power lines to the new door switch, re-assembled the rubber boot, and reconnected the front panel.
