How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6013413 / WP8572270 Dryer Lint Screen

Replaced the lint screen. No tools were required. 

REPALCE WITH A NEW ONE 

Order new lint screen. popped it in and I'm in business to dry clothes!Thanks to your nice chat lady. She done wonderful. 

Had ordered new one. But than I couldn't use clothes dryer. So my husband puts screws in the handle!! Now it works perfect. So he's going to do the same thing to the new one, put screws in the handle......Wonder why the manufacture don't do the same to keep the handle from breaking off the screen. . Don't make sense. :( What tools he used depends on what he did ........ ( the new order nothing to do). But did use screws and screw driver to repair the problem cause manufacture don't have enough sense to fix there problem. :( 

Insert door strike. 

Put the new one in. 

Pulled out old one and slide in the new one 

Ordered on line double checked the part number with a customer service representative, placed the order and within 2-3 days later I received my order. 

I ordered a new lint screen with the handle attached, as you could not buy just the handle. Simply take it out of the box and insert into dryer.
