How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP7216886 / W11683242 Led Module Kit (12 Lights)

LED lights went out. These are wired in series; so you will need to find the one that failed. Not all failed. One failed taking out 4 LED lights. 2 in the fridge and 2 in the freezer portion. It's ran in series where all comes on even if only one door is opened. 

Purchased parts from you and repaired myself. Easy to install & locate correct parts. On a side note, I was out of town when the parts arrived on time but some miscommunication in our house led me to believe the parts never arrived. I contacted you and with in an hour was told new parts were being shipped with an apology. It was at that time I realized we had the parts and immediately contacted your rep via email to explain. Your service is EXCELLENT! Thank you. 

All the lights were out in the freezer and only one was in the fridge. In the freezer, all but one showed some light from the LED but it looked like there was a significant voltage drop. One light was completely dead. Replacing that bulb brought them all back. 

Bought two replacement modules, just in case The lights are in series and probably have some design defect/manufacturing defect. This is the second time in 5 years that I have had to do this. LED lights in a low-use setting like a refrigerator should last forever. I changed the first unlit module; still not working. I changed the second module; they all work now. The part is expensive for what you get, a very unreliable product made in roc. I'll probably be using the extra module I bought next year. 

Replaced the light module inside the refrigerator. Looked at a video on how to replace the light. Tried a couple before I figured out the light on the top (ceiling) was the one was the correct light to replace. Once the correct light was replaced, the others worked. The lights are on a continual circuit
