How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6010478 / WP67006113 Threaded Handle Anchor

I ordered the parts needed to replace the end cap unit. On the website, there was a video showing you how to replace the parts. I followed the video and it was very easy. I would say it took longer than I anticipated but that is because I cleaned the unit. Had I not cleaned the fridge, it would have been less than 1/2 hour. 

Ordered handle, screw and handle mount. Received within a few days. Installed and everything worked perfectly. To quote "easy peasy". Action took less than 1/2 hour. 

2 parts for both top and bottom of door handle, all ordered. Easy to reinstall handle. 

I ordered new ice and water dispenser faceplate and new stainless handles and mount screws, then I painted my white frig appliance black. Looks updated and brand new 

Rather than fighting the set screw, I ordered a new handle and extra parts to fix it. My father taught me to use anti seize which I used on all the threaded materials. Appliance parts and all the parts listed easy to see and Order 

Very easy fix. Took no more than 5 minutes. 

Was able to receive exactly what I ordered within 2 days. I could not locate the parts locally. The person on the phone was very helpful. 

Ordered the parts form ApplianceParts Pros on Thurs and received them on Saturday. Installed mounting screw and then installed handle and tightened it down. Just like new now. 

We (2) covered our 36" white frig in peel & stick stainless. Two challenges: the (fake) "stainless" was 3/16" shorter than 36". I expected, correctly, the material should wrap around the doors until the edges were under the gasket. You find out, when it is heated with a hairdryer, it can shrink or if pushed, it can stretch that disparately needed 3/16". Putting the gasket back and successfully getting the edge of the material under gasket edge is a challenge. Appliance Pros picked out the perfect frig door handle for me. It looks fantastic!!!! Piece of cake to install!! I used one of the previous handles screw holes for the top mount and made new hole for the bottom mount. I used the previous handle for the freezer - the sanded Crome matched. Tks AP!
