How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6012259 / WP8268812 Dishwasher Upper Spray Arm Mount

It's an easy fix if you can find the right part. That's where AppliancePartsPros.com comes in. I input the model number and did a quick scan of the parts list. I found the part I needed, ordered it, and two days later I repaired the dishwasher. 

First mistake not watching an utiube repair video! Second mistake ordering part from Amazon , the part they sent would not let arm spin and clear the upper tray bottom :( sent it back. Reached out to appliance parts plus , and received the correct replacement part! Plus a few part pieces that I would like to return for credit back to my card or account? A Phillips head screwdriver! WS all o needed ! The story gets better!! Because I did not watch a video ! I did not know to simply remove the clips at the end of tray glides !! So I unclothed the wheels from upper basket tray!! WRONG. ! Clipping the wheels back on basket proved impossible for me! So I stayed up till 3 am hunting diagrams and videos for help! Finally realized to remove the end clips, remove wheels and clip them in the proper place on rack AND SIMPLY slide the upper tray back in place!! SUCCESS. !! L O L !!! 

Ordered replacement and put it in, following Appliance Parts Pros video. Replaced another piece (water inlet/funnel) that was worn, at the same time. 

Removed old spinner and feed tube by clipping of old feed tube and removing the screw. After doing so it was easy. I installed the new feed tube with the screw included in the kit, clipped on the spinner and was very easy. 

It took about 10 minutes. I took top basket out, took pics so I could see how it was. I marked on the basket where it was, took off the assembly and put the new one on. It's working great 

Ordered the part after looking it up on your website and fixed it in two days. 

This was an easy fix which took about 5 minutes. The replacement part had a snap only attachment update on the top. This made the repair as easy as screwing the upper spray arm to the bottom of the assembly and snapping the mount to the top rack. 

Installed new kit top washer arm 

I replaced the parts. The video on the website was great. I'm glad I was able to find repair parts for such an old dishwasher. I'm squeezing as much life out of this unit as possible. Thanks.
