How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6010129 / WP627018 Refrigerator Water Line Compression Nut - 1/4 Inch

I ordered the repair parts that Lowes said they couldn't get. I got the parts very fast and only took 5 minutes to get the job done. 

Replaced the fill tube with a new ice maker fill tube fitting. I had to cut the new fitting to length to match the existing fitting I pulled out of the refrigerator, reinsert the new fitting and secured it with the two screws to the back of the refrigerator. 

Replaced tube and nut with insert
