How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP5985059 / W10811148 Control Panel (Console)

This is the second time this has happened to this dishwasher in three years. AppliancePartsPro replaced my previous replacement control panel, as it was still under its own 1-year manufacturer's warranty. I'm not delighted to be replacing this part more than once in a year, but I'm delighted with the service APP provided. Simple repair - six screws (torx bit) and a ribbon-cable connector. Everything works again as intended. 

Replaced with new control pannel six screws and a couple of componets removed from old control pannel and put on new one. 

REPLACE PANEL , THARD TIME ON A THREE YEAR OLD DISHWASHER . I WILL JUNK THE UNIT NEXT TIME. MAYTAG/WHIRLPOOL . 

Replaced the panel 

Just like what your website suggested, it took 10-15 minutes to replace it. All I need was a philips head screwdriver. 

I did a continuity test on the door switch then when that was good I ordered the control panel from your website, when it arrived I installed it and it worked. 

New control panel was simple and quick 6 screws and 3 electrical connectors 

A few push buttons on my Maytag dishwasher (including the Start button) stopped working. I watched a 5 minute YouTube video from ApplicancePartsPros, ordered the new control panel along with the t15 torx screwdriver and 1/4 inch nut driver used by the technician in the video. All parts/tools arrived within 2 days. I then rewatched the YouTube video and followed the instructor step by step. Took 10 minutes to replace the control panel, and now the dishwasher works perfectly. Saved over $200 from the price I was quoted by the Maytag repair person to fix the issue. It was incredibly quick and easy. 

Once the part arrived I was able to simply follow the colored coded plugins on the panel. They were very easy to plugin. The machine worked beautifully once I was done.
