How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP5984180 / 339392V Lint Screen

Needed a new lint screen. 

After having a great experience with this company, I made a second order for a lint filter. I didn't realize I could even order this part. With your replacement lint trap. It has increased the lint catching and the vent to the outside has less lint for me to clean! 

For years I have used a small olive fork to remove my lint filter? With Appliance Parts Pros, I simply entered my appliance model number and ordered the part. It is perfect. Shipped promptly. 

Replaced it. 

Pulled it out and put the new one in. Using my model number, I found the part #. Appliance parts pros are great. as my history goes. I ordered my part one day and in two days it is on my front porch. 

ORDERED A NEW PART. 

Previous lint screen had metal strips, one along each side, to reinforce the plastic frame. It's meant to prevent the plastic frame from buckling as you push the screen down into its slot. After 20+ yrs of use the plastic frame broke right at the end of the metal strip, causing the screen to hang up when attempting to reinsert it. New screen fits well, does not hang up. BUT it has no metal reinforcement strip. It prob won't last 20+ yrs, but will serve for now. 

I ordered a new one from you and it came in a couple of days. I just slipped it in ! Easy as pie ! 

Remove old and inserted a new one.
