How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6019085 / WPW10300022 Icemaker

Ordered the new unit and replaced it. 

Replaced ice maker. You will need 1/4" nut driver and Phillips screwdriver. 

Changed ice maker out. 

Replaced the ice maker. 

Replaced it with new maker 

Replaced the ice maker. 

Got a new ice maker and installed. Starting flowing water to the tray in a couple minute's followed by the wonderful sound of ice dropping within an hour. 

Model number for refrigerator is on an inside panel. Researched on AppliancePartsPro.com for a match. Removed the old ice maker and installed the new. Very doable for a DYI with basic tools. Note that if you can't see screws that support the ice maker use a mirror to line up the nut driver. Recommend a long shaft/magnetic nut driver / I didn't have one but would have made the removal easier. My refrigerator is 8 years old and the original icemaker was nasty looking and the sanitary coating was peeling off so I am glad that it failed so now I have clean ice. 

The ice maker came in very quick after the order was placed which was much appreciated. The existing/original ice maker was leaking, resulting in large chunks of ice being formed in the rear of the tray which made it difficult to remove the tray. I unplugged the refrigerator, loosened the two screws that held the ice maker and lifted it out of place. After which I unplugged the ice maker and removed it. I had to transfer the switch bar from the original Ice maker to the new ice maker as it did not come with one. I then plugged in the new ice maker and remounted it. This is the second day after the new ice maker was installed and it's making ice with no problems. 

Replaced with this unit working great so far! Did have to adjust the cube size dial (cubes were to small)
