How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6020256 / WPW10352973 Dispenser Actuator

Researched problems on internet. Spoke with a person in your company to be sure the part you offered fit my Maytag washer. 

Replaced it. Took 5 minutes. This the second time this switch went bad, I believe the repair man installed a faulty switch and they would NOT honor the switch or their work. I watched the first repair so I knew how to make the repair myself. I did not receive a fault code this time but, I knew by the clicking sound and lack of water where to look. After removing the top cover of the washer I could see the switch malfunctioning. By the way, the fault code book is conveniently hidden under the top cover so you're inclined to call the repair man rather than made the repairs yourself. 

Between reading the service manual, and goggle and you tube it pretty much narrowed it down to these two parts. once the parts got here it was a ten minute fix, the washer is back on line doing its job. You guys are my part source and have helped me keep all my household appliances running. 

Found You Tube video we showed the exact systems of my washer when I looked up the F30 Error Code for the Duet Whirlpool Washer. Ordered the dispenser motor overnight air and installed in 15 minutes. 

Checked online for that error code. Watched a repair video. Ordered correct part. Easy peasy replaced the part and the washer was filling up! Took me less than 5 minutes. (I am a 58 year old woman.?? 

Wonderful! I had no idea what was wrong with the washer and did not really want to pay all the costs associated with a repair. I went on YouTube and found a video. Then I went to appliancepartspros.com and found the part I needed. It cost around $50. I would have paid that much just to have someone come look at my washer. Taking out the bad control switch and putting in the new control switch was quick and easy.
