How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6014074 / WP9761048 Infinite Switch (Dual Surface Element)

Replaced the burner switch. While I was in there, I noticed that the indicator light holder had broken off the lens (poor setup) and that one of the wires to the socket was too short so I added a short segment to the wire with insulated crimp connectors and all is well! 

Replaced Infinite switch. Also, replaced the other front element Inf. sw. (operation seemed erratic). Easy job. Removed: back panel with power driver, two mounting screws from each switch, plug in wire connectors. Reverse procedure, test controls, done.

I found the part on your website. Cheaper than the other sites, to include the Whirlpool site. The part came in three days. Your video was the perfect tool. Between the time I unplugged the range and reset the clock was a total of 9 minutes. The only tool required was a phillips screwdriver. You guys saved me a bundle. If the repair guy came, it would have been quite a bit more. Thanks! 

I bought the switch for the dual-element burner on my oven. It came; shipping took a lot more than 1.7 days (try 8 days) but then I ordered it just before Christmas, so the year-end shipping rush is probably what delayed my part. I took off the panel just like the video here shows. I switched the wires from the old switch to the new switch (one at a time, so I wouldn't mix them up), plugged the oven in, and found that the new switch works perfectly. I screwed the back panel back in place. This is an easy fix, and much, much cheaper than a new oven! 

Replaced the infinite switch for the dual front burner. it was a very easy repair especially since allpiancepartspros.com had a video on their website linked to the part. 

Called for part - part arrived NEXT DAY - installed in less than 5 mins with the help off the video tutorial.
