How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6007668 / WP3149404 Infinite Switch Top Burner Control Switch

I searched the web and found Appliance parts.com. They were cheaper than any other place that I had gotten a price from. I had talked to very nice lady and she got me the parts I needed. And what was real surprising is that my wife and I were not looking for the parts until Friday and they were at our front door the very next day. I am very much impressed with Appliancepartspros. I know where I am going the next time.Thank you. 

Ordered new switches, installed them, and now all is good!

RE;LACE SWITCH 

I made sure I had a good burner element and burner socket. I switched the burner wires to another switch and tested that the burner works. So I ordered the switch. It came quickly. I removed the back panel, removed the wires from the switch, removed the knob, unscrewed the mounting screws, screwed the new switch in place, installed the knob, and plugged in the wires in order and reinstalled the back panel. The problem was solved. 

Replaced the switch.
