We needed a grey switch and subsequently, we painted it to match existing. The part does not fit exactly in the opening. The original had square corners, the replacement has rounded corners, Therefore, a very slight opening existed at the corners. (about 1/16"). There was enough wire to pull out of slot to be able to simply switch out the switches, the new one snapped right in. Took about 5 minutes.
