How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6016535 / WPW10185970 Timer

I ordered a timer for my dryer model from ApplianceParts PROS. amazingly I received it in two days through FedEx. I'm a single woman and I replaced the part myself with the help of your how to fixit step by step video and it worked..." I HAVE HEAT" I can dry own any cycle I need. Thank you 

Love the APP videos very clear and understandable. Matt is my hero! After eliminating other possibilities and diagnosing with meter found timer/ temp controller bad. Easy to fix once diagnosed. Ordered part at 11:30 pm and arrived in rural Vt less than 48 hours later. 

After looking at your sight I figured it was the timer. Bam .........ordered part and it was easy to install as described and the part was here in two days! Bam.... it now works as new. Thank you, Chip 

Used a multi-tester to check power source voltage, thermostats, fuses and timer continuity. Determined the timer was faulty and needed replacement. 

Repair man was able to diagnose it quickly. So I ordered a new timer. 

Ordered the part that was most suspicious for the problem. Received promptly. Unfortunately that was not fix. Went back online and located the next part to check. Ordered and received promptly. This corrected the issue. Dryer working great! This site had the best price on the part as well. 

Removed defective timer and installed the new one. 

Thanks to searching your site and reading reviewers that had similar problems dryer is now fixed! Pulled off timer knob, took top back panel off, then the 2 screws that held the timer in place. Pulled off the terminals connections. When new timer arrived, just reversed the process. Bing Bang Boom! Worked like a charm! 

I ordered a timer from AppliancePartsPros.com. it was very easy to navigate and helped tremendously with videos explaining everything we needed to do. This is definitely where I will continue to order my appliance parts.
