How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6015080 / WPW10111389 Washer Timer

Remove the panel by removing the panel with a putty knife, to release the spring. Lift the panel and removed the timer. 

Just changed out the parts that I determined were bad by using a print and Fluke multi-meter The parts were delivered by next day shipping as were promised. Your company did an amazing job and I would “HIGHLY”, recommend you do whomever requires parts and reliable delivery. Thank you. 

Changed the timer, the video was helpful , but not as easy doing the work. Some of the parts were a little hard to take apart. 

I had watched your video and ordered the part thru you.. The repair went smoothly and the machine was up ian running. Total repair was less than 20 mins. 

Replaced the timer. Disappointed that I replaced the timer 30 months ago for the same issue. Last time the part was half the price. 

My Maytag MTW5870TW0 would not power on. After doing the obvious checks regarding the breaker and outlet. I found online that it was probably an issue with the starter. I ordered a starter from AppliancePartsPros and followed the video repair guide. Following the replacement of the starter, the washing machine turned on! I’ll be honest, I thought I was out of the woods when I heard it start, but it ended up only agitating or spinning. It would stay stuck on that for as long as you let it run- never progressing through a cycle or stopping on its own. I did some more research online to figure out the issue I was having, and the part that came up most often was the timer. Again, I found myself on AppliancePartsPros, this time ordering a starter. When it arrived I completed the repair and the washing machine worked like new. I am so glad I trusted the reviews and information I found on this site to repair my washing machine. Yes, I spent $180 in parts, but that’s still half the price of a new one, and I now understand this machine. 

Replaced timer with video it took about 15 minutes. 

I ordered the part and was happy when it came by FedEx in two days. I watched the video that was provided on the proper way to replace the timer. Then I proceeded to replace the timer as I had been instructed. The only difficulty I encountered was removing the counsel because of some buildup of lime because of the years of water presence. After getting it off and having access to the parts, it took me only a short time to remove the old timer and replace it with the new one. I was very satisfied with the instruction video and delivery of the new part and am happy to report that the machine is working properly again. 

Ordered a new timer. Watched video. Installed it. Everything back to normal. 

I put a timer and lid switch on it.
