How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6013086 / WP8542050 Timer

Ordered the timer. Amazed in arrived in less that 24 hours. Reviewed the video with instructions twice and removed the old timer and replaced with the new. Working fine now. Only problem encountered was the washer used in the repair video was somewhat difference from ours. Easy to adapt to it and could identify the differences. 

Replaced the time. 

I replaced the lid switch and everything seems to be working properly. I have de3cided to wait and see before replacing the Timer. 

I ordered a replacement timer and installed it. 

I watched videos on appliancePartsPro on how to fix the washing machine that had the same problem. As i watched several videos i realized that there was a couple more things wrong with it. My washing machine was not agitating "agitator dogs" gone. My lid switch was not making contact "lid switch broken". And realized my washing machine tub was lopsided " suspension springs and bracket "back side was gone. So i decided since we came this far why not replace all those things too. Timer, Agitator dogs, lid switch, suspension spring, bracket for the spring. And i saw a spanner wrench and had to have it "just in case." It was a great experince.
