How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6009055 / WP3979617 Dryer Timer

A week ago you requested information about the repair of a bad dryer timer. I did respond but now that I have another inquiry from you I will again say that delivery of the part was super fast even though I paid for standard delivery. FedEx had it here the next day!! The part has been installed a week now and works great! This was my first experience with AppliancePartsPros and so long as their service is this reliable and professional, I will use them whenever I need an appliance part. 

Ordered part from appliance parts pros .com and three days later it arrived, and the next day it took me about 12 mins. to fix the dryer and I what to thank you people for fast service and your vidieo aws right on. thank you,i will be using you again. 

Simple fix to replace once having identified the correct part number. It takes more time to pull the dryer out to access the back panel than completing the replacement lol! 

Found the part number and called your service and through Laura M she ordered the part from you and I had it to me within two days ,...fantastic ?? 

Viewed the websites' diagrams and watched the videos on procedures to replace the timer. Perfect solution. 

Replaced the timer. Dryer is now working properly. 

I replaced the Timer and Door Switch. 

Received the part and fixed it myself. Very easy. Dryer works great now! 

Had to replace the timer controller.
