How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6007953 / WP33001932 Timer (With Chime)

Replaced timer. 

At first tried to clean the moisture sensors after about 22 years of dryer sheet build up but no change. Clothes dryed on the Intelli-Dry mode, would come out hot and crispy that I worried it was going to catch fire when left unattended. Posted a question here on Appliance Parts Pros and the Tech Department came back saying to replace the timer. Replacement took 10 minutes and it works like the dryer is brand new. Thank you very much Appliance Parts Pros. 

Replaced timer. 

I took it upon my self to fix both washer and dryer. My husband did contribute some. I researched and ordered parts from appliancepartspros.com Parts were very easy to order, just put in the model number. Parts arrived within a week and were very good quality. I replaced springs and spring kit on washer and timer on the dryer. Both work perfectly now. 

After replacing the heating element and thermostat, and still, no heat, noticed timer knob was not advancing. Removed timer and found it burned and broken. Ordered timer, replaced it and problem solved. Thanks for the help. 

I ordered the parts from Appliance Parts, watched their repair video and replaced the parts as shown. Very easy repair for this 73 yr. old. 

A few years ago we used your website before for the washer and so I knew we'd get the right parts the first time. You've improved your website incredibly and it now includes video tutorials. The most helpful part was when they also included WHY the part should be replaced. My husband basically did an overhaul on it, replacing multiple worn out parts. The tutorials were extremely helpful for him and saved a lot of time. It was time consuming but not difficult. On the tools used, a rivet gun was needed. The ONLY thing we did wrong was to not get the main belt. It should be replaced and so we'll also be ordering that part. I believe we'll get another 20 years or so out this good old dryer!
