I replaced the switch in the lid. I thought it could not be this, because it would fill, and when working properly, it will not fill with the lid open. Apparently there is a double switch on this part, which was misleading. I ordered a timer switch, which was relatively simple to replace, but the problem persisted. I had a local company come in for the diagnosis and repair. I learned a lot watching them. The process to replace the lid switch was much more complicated and I'm not sure I could have figured it out without seeing it done once (I have a 1996ish stackable). The people at Appliance Parts Pros were great!!! If I had more time, I'm betting they could have walked me through it. They actually suggested the correct part the first time I talked to them, and offered advice on how to find you tube videos and offered schematics. They also gave me 90 days to return the part if it turned out to not be correct. Thanks guys!!! I really appreciate the superior customer service!!!!
