How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6022517 / WPW10512946 Dryer Drum Support Wheel Retainer

I disconnected the dryer and positioned it on its back. I removed the front inspection cover to find that the tensioner pulley was missing. I cleaned/cleared all of the dryer lint and spare change out of the mechanical compartment with a vacuum. I inspected the belt for any abrasions, tears etc. I decided not to replace it. The pulley was easy to replace and the dryer is so quiet now that we often wonder if it is working at all. 

Replaced both Drum Support Rollers, Roller Shafts, Push Clips, and Retainers. 

Replaced the Drum Rollers Retainers and Shafts after following along with the youtube video from AppliancePartsPros.com !!! 

A couple of years ago. I replaced all the drum rollers after the dryer (Kenmore Duet) started squeaking loudly. At the time, I saw that one of the roller axles was showing signs of wear, so it was no surprise to find that this was the cause of the loud rumbling sound this time. The roller was very wobbly and the axle shaft is worn even further. Having pulled this dryer apart 3 times now for repairs and checks, using the excellent video instructions on the site here, It was a very straightforward repair, and our dryer lives to fight another day. 

Took the dryer apart and replaced the Drum Support Rollers And Shafts. 

Replaced all drum rollers, belt, belt tension pulley.

Replace Drum Felt, Rollers 

Turned out it was the idler pulley wheel. Given the effort to take the dryer apart, replaced the drum roller and belt. The hardest part, and not that hard, is taking the dryer apart. Actual part replacement is super easy. Once in there, might as well clean it out and replace other parts. The videos are spot on. A couple of small differences between my exact dryer and video, but nothing significant. 

I ordered a new belt, I installed it and with the help of your very well done video, I managed to repair my dryer. Thank you very much.
