How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6010552 / WP676453 Vinyl Touch Up Paint

Used repair special whirlpool white paint and plastic tips-put tips on while paint wet -to cement tips to tine--let dry overnite or set machineon dry cycle--all ok--goodprice and quick service from appliancepartspro 

Replaced water delivery tube, put vinyl touch up paint and tine tips on all rusty spots 

I figured the tines on most racks are the same diameter, the tips worked just fine. I filed of most of the rust on the tines and several other spots. Applied the touch up paint on those spots and to also to two or three tines that the tips seemed a little loose. 24 hours to dry and no more rust stained dishes. 

Added the vinyl touch up paint to the tines and attached the new tips waited overnight and ran dishwasher the next day and everything worked great. 

Used the touch up paint to glue the rubber caps on the ends of the pronigs although i thought maybe just using the touchup paint may be enough as dishwasher is old and we are looking for something newer that works good. already got rid of a new Samsung low noise dishwasher and reinstalled this older one because it did a betterjob faster 

Removed and replaced basket. Touched up rust with Vinyl Touch Up Paint. 

I watched the video, which was quick and accurate, ordered the parts, and when they got here I quickly replaced them and everything was well, and my wife was happy. There were several spots on the racks that had been damaged over time and the metal underneath was rusting a bit. I used the brush for some topical spots but then I took the rack to my shop and turned it upside down and dipped each support rod into the bottle and let it set. WORKED!!!
