How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6008218 / WP3379369 3Rd Level Wash Arm

Replaced the Spray Arm & Supply Tube and the 3rd Level Wash Arm, both of which were broken and not working properly. Your Youtube video star, Matt, has now saved our washer AND dishwasher. One point...When he says to place a towel in the bottom of the dishwasher, DO IT! I dropped a screw down there and never did get it out. 

Replaced same with part from ApplianceParts 

The repair video gave me an idea as to how to perform this repair. It was quite accurate. With that help, I ordered the part in the morning and it was in my hands the next day. That was FAST. The only modification to the repair process was my use of some silicon RTV to fill the cavity in this part so as not to trap water. The part is hollow and open at the top and doesn't have a drain hole. 

Rrmoved balance of level arm with the loosing of one screw. Install the new arm in less than 2 minutes. Very smiple to do after watching video. Very happy with the prompt shipment. 

With no name of the broken part, with no part number, on a dishwasher with no model number... I received the exact part needed from your site --the very next day. I had chatted with an agent, and after a few minutes of not giving the agent anything to work with (no part, number, model, etc.), the agent had me email a picture. With that picture, the agent provided me a few links to work with, and I saw a diagram of exactly what I needed, got video instruction on replacing the part... and received the part via mail the very next day! Over the last two years, that's been about the same story all three times I ordered from your site. And over those two years, you have saved me the cost of service calls for our dishwasher, refrigerator, and washing machine. Kudos. You folks are the best, hands down. 

I watched the video online, ordered the part and replaced the 3rd wash arm. It took all of 10 minutes, including going to get the tools. Couldn't be easier. 

I replaced this part w/o using tools. My dishwasher has a clip that holds this part in, so not even a screw to replace. 

Ordered part. Removed upper basket. Viewed procedure on You Tube Removed lower basket. Placed Towel over pump to prevent getting something in pump. Removed two Phillips screws holding upper washer With screws removed washer just slips off supply tube. Inserted new unit on tube and secured with one ( new unit only requires one screw)screw. Reinstalled upper basket. Removed towel and replaced lower tray. Job complete. 

Replaced hose, ordered a new top wash arm at the same time and replaced that also. Ordering the parts was easy, received parts in two days, installed with no problem, however, did need my husband's help in pushing down tube for a tight fit.
