How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6014875 / WPW10078083 Wheel And Bracket Assembly

With the basket out of the dishwasher, the plastic parts basically snap on and off... popped the broken parts off and the new parts on. The 2 wheel and mount assemblies were a little more complicated. The video on the website advises to disconnect the supply line and drain line... I didn't have to do this. I just pulled the dishwasher out of its cabinet a little over a foot and removed the 2 screws holding each assembly in place and removed them. The previous gaskets (2 PER ASSEMBLY) seemed to be in perfect condition and remained stuck to the inside wall of the dishwasher... so I left them in place and replaced the assemblies and then replaced and tightened the screws holding the assemblies in place. I then carefully slid the dishwasher back to its original position and replaced the 2 screws into the underside of the counter. Then replaced the top rack... DONE! This repair was pretty easy. In terms of the "challenging" rating, I gave it a 2 mainly because the repair wasn't totally brainless and required a little common sense. 

The upper basket needed to be removed. Then, I needed to pull the dishwasher out from under the counter top. I pulled the insulation back and then removed the wheel assembly with a crescent wrench. The new wheel assembly was installed and the dishwasher was moved back into position and the upper basket placed. 

I ordered parts on a Friday and payed for standard shipping. ,Expecting to get parts by Monday Or Tuesday. Parts arrived the very next day .Repaired and up and running within 24 hrs. of parts order.

I installed the wheel and bracket assembly along with the 2 gaskets and the rack stop. Assembly was pretty easy to install. The fix works great. 

Replaced roller support. 

Went onto AppliancePartsPros.com where a helpful chat got me to the right part. It was at my house the next afternoon with standard shipping. I got an email with how to install the part, but the part in the video didnt exactly match up. No worries, found the right video on youtube, also by AppliancePartPros and was able to do the whole repair in about 30 minutes. This broken support (wheel came off) was a problem for much much longer than it took to find, get and install the part. Thanks AppliancePartsPros.com

Replaced wheel & mount assembly. This was surprisingly easy! The only tricky part was removing the plastic stops from the front ends of the sliding supports.
