I replaced the washer drain pump on our 15-year-old machine which was not difficult at all. Replacing the actual pump itself was in fact simply disconnecting and reconnecting two drain hoses and reconnecting a power supply. The most challenging piece to the whole repair was figuring out how to get to the part, which involved taking off the front panel of the washer. Fortunately, there was an excellent YouTube video that showed exactly how to do this (there's always a couple of hidden screws that you need to locate) Overall great experience and saved hundreds on a service call or new machine
