Troy T Lake Arthur , LA December 29, 2014 Appliance: Model BOSCH WASHER E 13 error code water not draining out of tub After continually ignoring my wife's suggestion to call an appliance repairman and finally deciding that I needed to replace the drain pump motor assembly due to worn out bushings on the impeller, I placed the order. Receiving the part and getting mentally ready for the challenge of removing and replacing pump assembly was quite nerve racking. Due to the poor planning of placement by previous owner, I had to become a 5'9" 205 pound contortionist to get behind the washer to start the project. While getting settled behind the washer I found lots of treasures that had been lost for years such as clothing items, coins, toys...basically everything but Jimmy Hoffa. Got tools in hand and ready to start. Back of washer came off with ease. That was the end of anything easy. Keep in mind my previously mentioned physical stats. I now have to reach through the bottom of the washer to begin the removal process. This is difficult when my arms are too thick to get to the part therefore pinching off circulation of blood and inspiring new curse words that children should never hear. After finally getting the old pump in my hands and ready to come out I begin attempting to back out when I realize that my arm is in a serious bind. Thoughts of dying in that position and the embarrassment when family members would find me stuck in this position danced through my head. I mustered up enough courage to give it one big yank....then.....blood. Yep, I'm now bleeding but with the old pump out of the washer so it was a slight victory in this war. Once I stopped the bleeding with an old sock found under the neighboring dryer, I began the installation of the new pump. Getting the pump in place and attached to proper hoses and electrical harness was a piece of cake. Now for the test. Turned washer on to run a quick cycle and got a different error. This error states the control board was fried....I'm not a happy camper or appliance repair husband / dad. Back is killing me, arm bleeding, ego is somewhat crushed...how could this happen. Luckily I ran across a few people on a bulletin board that had the same problem. All they did was unplug the washer for 60 seconds to reset the board and VOILA, it fixed itself. Now why couldn't the $#@%@ drain pump motor assembly fix itself? Anyway, washer is back in it's previous position where it can eat up all sorts of treasures until I have to pull it from the wall and discover it's loot. Until next time..... Rock K Greencastle , IN January 07, 2019 Appliance: Model BOSCH NEXXT SERIES WASHING MACHINE E13 error on Bosch washing machine I checked online to determine that the E13 error code (this particular code is not in the operating manual) on my Bosch washing machine meant a problem with the drain pump. I cleaned out the pre-filter (which really appeared pretty clean) and it worked for a few loads, however, a few days later I got the E13 error code again, and the drum was full of water. After cleaning out the pre-filter again the error code came up after running the washer empty. I found the replacement pump and assembly on AppliancePartsPros.com, and ordered it. It arrived in just a few days, and was identical to the pump assembly I needed to replace (except the new pump has a drain line to empty the water in the drum if there is a future problem - this will be really helpful as the only way to drain the drum if there is a problem is via the access point which makes a huge mess when opened). Installation was a little tricky, and took me about 4 hours from start to finish. The biggest problem I ran into was the fact that the side of the Bosch washing machine we have is integral to the machine, and holds up the drum. Since I couldn't take the side off, I had to replace the pump through the clean-out access on the front of the machine. This access point is only about 6" in diameter. The suction hose on the pump was the biggest problem as it was very difficult to work with the hose clamp through such a small access point (very difficult to get 2 hands & a pliers into the machine through the hole). After getting the new pump installed I ran an empty load and the pump worked perfectly. We have run a number of loads through the machine in the week since installing the new pump and it appears to be working perfectly. This is certainly a repair that someone with average repair skills can complete themselves. Karen G Liverpool , PA July 21, 2014 Drain pump went bad was not draining the water out of each load When my Bosch washing machine started to not drain the water out I did a little research on Google. Found that it was my drain pump. So I unscrewed the “plug” for the drain pump, found a few bobby pins, nails and a quarter. Thought that was the issue. Nope....still not draining water. Did a little more research and found this company Appliance Parts Pros. I knew the part I needed so I ordered it. In about 2 days I had the new part, I was able to install it myself and BAM I got the washer working. Bottom line, if you can determine what is wrong and what part you need, I HIGHLY recommend Appliance Parts Pros!! I am 100% satisfied! Pete P Shelby , NC March 23, 2014 E13 error on Bosch washing machine My Bosch washing machine was throwing an E13 error code, which was a drain pump problem. Called the authorized Bosch repair center to send out a tech to confirm problem. The repair center confirmed the problem but then said the pump is on perpetual backorder with Bosch with no release date. We do 2+ loads per day, that is not going to work. They didn't seem to care. Went online, you had the pump, we had the pump two days later and installed it that night. Same pump mfg as original. No mods, plug and play, we were back in business. As a business owner myself, I couldn't be more thrilled with the way this went. Tough crap local Bosch guy, Thank you Appliance Parts Pro!!!! J Zion Y Rochester , NY October 12, 2018 2004 nexxt bosch washer wasn't draining e04 error code pump made a funny noise like something was blocking it but nothing was I am thrilled that AppliancePartsPros empowered me to fix my washing machine and stave off an expensive purchase! A friend who repairs domestic machines felt that it might be more cost effective to put repair money toward a new machine, especially since the 14 year old foreign machine's model number was missing (panel switched out with prior repair) so could be difficult to find right part. Decided I had nothing to lose checking it out myself since option was to throw machine away. Discovered how to remove pump (surprisingly easy!) and found enough numbers on part that AppliancePartsPros was able to tell me which part I needed. Their video taught me how to switch it out (again, surprisingly easy!) and the part arrived the NEXT day (selected the 2-3 day shipping method). The only thing that made the repair difficult was working through the 6" circular panel on my model. Thank you for your great service!
