Tried the screwdriver method several times with no success. I also gave up on several "homade" ideas that might make use of a a small aquard space to put spring onto their respective homes, my solution was to bend one of the arms of the spring out a little bit. I also used a small piece of wood to give my screwdriver better leverage. Another tip, make sure the bent catch on the spring is facing downward while attaching the mounted stationary arm. After slipping on, take needlenose or players to crim spring back.
