I replaced the agitator coupler, using the instructions provided with the coupler. It was simple to remove the old coupler using a dowel rod and rubber mallet. It was a bit more challenging to press the agitator down on the new coupler. I applied some dish soap to the agitator as a lubricant, and gently tapped the top of the agitator using a piece of wood between the agitator and the rubber mallet. A series of quick taps did the trick.
