After researching on the web I narrowed the problem down to 3 possibilities. My 2001 Kenmore (whirlpool) cold spot fridge most likely had a bad diffuser. Freezer worked fine but fridge was not cold. For 2 years I had a screwdriver shoved into diffuser to keep it open (found this trick online too). Wife finally tired of the produce freezing in fridge and ice clumping together in freezer. Screwdriver rig was not perfect, but hot us by. I ordered part on a Sunday, arrived on a wed (super fast delivery AND I paid low price regular delivery fee!) and fixed Thursday night. Appliance-Parts-Pro video really helped re:expectaions and planning. To be honest it took me longer to empty the fridge and to perform a super cleaning job inside and out (might as well, right?) than to repair. Just like a new fridge now. I should not have procrastinated as long as I did! Will definitely use AppliancePartsPro.com again!! Part was less than $50 including shipping costs...sure beats buing a new fridge for $1800!!
Thanks
