Replaced element, but new one had higher current rating requiring changeout of control circuit board making price much higher than for element alone. Note that this was with every parts dealer for this machine. Changing circuit board was easy, am former techie, hard part was getting access to rear of dishwasher. Due to design of kitchen I ended up removing back of peninsula cabinet instead of pulling machine out. Really hard part was getting my 66 year old knees to cooperate. Did have a small issue with heater not being exactly square to last bend where it goes through bottom of machine, had to tighten a bit more when small drip occurred during first load. But dishes are now clean, and run time is no longer 3 hours!
