The hidden bake element accessed from the side of the oven was clearly done...not only did it not test for continuity, but when I removed it, there was a clean break where it had failed. Of course I replaced that first. Though my thermal cutoff tested fine for continuity, the element still wouldn't heat when I initiated bake. I could hear a click when the relay was triggered by the control board up top. Thanks to the 365 day return policy, I decided it was worth my while to try the $170 relay (power) board situated in the side near the bake element rather than buy a $800 oven. Mission accomplished.
