Benjamin A Crofton , MD December 27, 2015 Appliance: KitchenAid 30" Free-Standing Designer Style Convection Oven KERC608LSS0 Bake element wouldn't heat The hidden bake element accessed from the side of the oven was clearly done...not only did it not test for continuity, but when I removed it, there was a clean break where it had failed. Of course I replaced that first. Though my thermal cutoff tested fine for continuity, the element still wouldn't heat when I initiated bake. I could hear a click when the relay was triggered by the control board up top. Thanks to the 365 day return policy, I decided it was worth my while to try the $170 relay (power) board situated in the side near the bake element rather than buy a $800 oven. Mission accomplished. Bruce B Henry , IL May 28, 2016 Appliance: Model KITCHEN AID KERC607HBS8 All fetures of the electric range functioned properly except the bake element did not work After the element tested okay with an ohmmeter, I traced the electrical circuit using the schematic diagram. Power was coming to the power board however, the circuit was not completed within the board to the bake element when the oven was turned on. I concluded that the power board was failing to close the circuit properly. This diagnosis was confirmed by checking Appliance Parts Pros Q&A website information. Ordered and installed a new board. The order, receipt of the item, as well as the return of the part was positively seamless. I would order from ApplianceParts Pros.com again.
