Simple fix. Our oven is a GE dual fuel (gas burners on top, electric elements inside) model # J2S968SOH4SS. The lower element hidden underneath the bottom drip cover stopped heating. I had to remove the front door of the oven which is also easy to remove in order to slide out the lower drip cover. Instructions to do this are in the owners manual. Before removing the element I put the oven on bake to test the element and held my hand just above the element to feel for heat which there was none. Turned the power to the oven off at the circuit breaker and all you do then is remove the two bolts (this model oven has small bolts, not screws that requires a small socket wrench to remove). After removing the bolts angle the element up some to slide it out of the back to be able to remove the two wire clips from the element ends. I put a clothesline clip on each wire to prevent the wires from disappearing into the back of the oven and turning an easy job into a small nightmare. I then tested both lines with an inexpensive current tester to make sure there was current to both wires to eliminate that as the cause (make sure to turn the power back on and put your over in bake cycle before you test for current). When you get your new element just do everything in reverse and your cooking again. Appliance Parts Pro's website is great!
