My Bosch dish washer started to make vibration like noise when draining. I ordered a new drain pump for appliance parts pros. I took off the door skin, then the lower panel. I needed a torx screw driver for the door. It was a bit tricky to get the door off but not impossible. The lower sides door skin had some plastic clips. The lower panel was just a phillips driver.
Once the door skin and lower panel were off, I pulled back the sound proofing material behind the lower panel. The pump was right there. You don't need any tools to remove it. Make sure to note the pump's orientation as you will need to get the new one in there the same way. Pro tip, take a photo with your phone. Just take wires out of the built in clip on the pump. Twist the pump and it will release. Remove the clip with the wires. Be gentle.
Install in reverse order. I ran one fill cycle, let it run for a bit, then cancelled the cycle and watched it drain to make sure that the seal was good.
Overall this was a cheap easy fix. I was very happy that I could tackle it at home by myself.
