Turned off breaker to oven, took pictures of existing broil, supporting bracket and shield attached to oven, removed screws holding element, support piece and shield, removed bracket and shield, pulled out the element, took another close-up picture of the wires connected to element, removed wires, connected new element, turned breaker on to see if connection is correct, turned it off, installed element, shield and support bracket (in this order). Turned breaker on.
Hardest part was loosening up rusted screw, used "liquid wrench" that I always keep around, and removal of screw from one the connectors on element used very short screwdriver to reach backwards.
