I decided to replace both springs while I was at it. Removing four screws allowed be to pull the oven out of the cabinet. I rested it on a B&D Workmate, which was just the right height.
It took me some time to realize there was only a spring tension-adjuster for the left side of the oven. Other than that, this is a 10 minute job.
