Got new door kit for the Kenmore model 10656612500. After I took the unit apart, I found that the door was hinged by a pin with a spring. One of the plastic tabs that mounted the pin was broken off, so apparently needed a new front housing. The front housing was not available online so I was left to improvise with what I had. Upon further study, I noticed an extra plastic tab next to the broken one, so improvised a longer pin to hinge the swivel pin and spring for the ice door. It was a tight fit so I couldn't drill a hole in the adjacent plastic tab, so I used a soldering iron to melt a hole in it. After some jockeying about, I got the new door mounted, and it all works great now. I thought this may be of some help to others with a similar problem.......good luck
