I did the necessary research to make sure there was not a different problem that caused the heating element to fail.
Also the heating element out of my Whirlpool dryer had different element connectors for mine were round and the only elements that could be purchased had flat connectors.
There is a wiring kit that I could have ordered but I made the necessary wiring changes myself.
Another issue that came up was no one including myself could track down the Model number of this dryer so I had to use the part numbers to get the information I needed.
The bottom line is I did order the correct part and made the hardware modification that were needed. I installed the heating element and ran a large load through with no additional issues so all is well.
