Wrote down model and serial number. Went to The Google to find replacement part. Among other choices, A'pplaincePartsPros.com came up. Quickly found the part. More to the point (of appreciation) is that there was a video right there on the page about how to replace this part. I hadn't tought much about it, since the lid easily came off with the pin broken. Watched the video, which was well done, and followed those steps quickly and easily. All done. The postscript is that I found the part of the pin that had broken off within the hinge part. Using "Plastic Surgery" glue, I repaired the old one. It's now available for a future similar repair. Could, perhaps, have saved the cost of the new part, but the video is what made it an easy fix. Without that, I'd have never found the missing chunk of plastic. Thanks!
