I knew the hinges were broken on my washer lid, but I wasn’t sure exactly how to fix them. Fortunately, I found a quick video on the AppliancePartsPros.com website that showed me the exact parts (hinges and pins) that I needed to fix and how to replace the parts. I didn’t remember the video specifying the need for a star bit for the screws but I had one on hand. Maybe the newer washing machines use a Phillips screwdriver. I was surprised that new screws didn’t come with the hinges and pins (maybe different washers use different size screws). My washer is 23 years old so the screws are getting rusted. Thank you AppliancePartsPros.com for taking the guesswork out of a needed repair!
