The fix required removal of the top vent cover and then the door. The inside of the door has a plastic trim ring that needs to be carefully removed using a flat blade screwdriver. Then there are two phillips screws and a number of plastic tabs securing the metal grate in place. After removal of that, you can access the two screws holding in the handle. When screwing in the handle, be careful about alignment, and be sure it is flush against the door surface.
The amount of brittle plastic in this microwave is a bit disappointing. I wish it had been made more solid and durable.
