1. Ordered part.
2. Received the part lightning fast, i.e. the very next day!
3. Attached existing spring.
4. Removed screws on the outside and inside of the vent trap unit to gain better access.
5. Inserted the center prong into the pre-forged slot while ensuring that the spring did not fall off of the outside prong.
6. While carefully flexing/bending the vent flap and pressing the longer side of the spring against the vent trap unit, inserted the outside prong into the pre-forge slot.
7. Replaced inside and outside screws of the vent trap unit.
8. Topped a top and admired the ease of the repair.
