Kurt T Naperville , IL October 17, 2016 Appliance: Bosch SHU9952 UC/12 (FD 8105 -) Circulation pump was failing or had failed was making an unusual cyclical noise and not spraying dishes Bought a replacement pump from AppliancePartsPros.com and watched their repair video once to prepare, and then walked through it step-by-step as I was going through the repair myself. The video was pretty good- my model wasn't exactly the one pictured- mine appeared to have some additional shielding/protective pieces on the sides of the dishwasher that restricted access to some of the wiring and required me to do things slightly differently than the video showed, but it provided a good overall guide as to how to progress throughout each step of the repair. Ran into one additional snag- the video shows a hose clamp used to secure the connection between the circulating pump and the sump, but mine had a one-time-use pinch clamp. I had to run to the hardware store to get a new clamp to use there. I replaced with a worm drive hose clamp, rather than another crappy pinch clamp. Overall, this is a fairly involved repair, but it's definitely doable for a handy DIY type. Took me about 4 hours, including the trip to the store. 11 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 2+ hours
