Replaced the clock/timer for a new one in no time. Took me maybe 5 minutes at the most.
After I disconnected the dryer from the electric power I opened the place where the timer/clock is mounted by taking out 3 screws from the top of the back cover plate with a Phillips head screwdriver. Then I took the defected part out off its place by turning it anti clockwise and replaced it by the new one. After that was done I changed the wires one by one from their connector in the old one to the same connector in the new one. The last thing was replacing the back cover plate with the same screws I took out at the beginning of the job and that was it, as easy as can be!!! Dryer and timer/clock are working perfect again!!!
