To repair my dryer I had to replace the blower which required dismantling the dryer to the point that the broken part could be removed. The top cover was removed first, then the filter screen receptacle just inside the door, followed by the user interface panel, then the front panel containing the door. I had to create an s-hook from wire to support the master control box. The bulkhead was removed next with the s-hook support in place. Now I was able to remove the drum to gain access to the motor and blower assembly. In my particular case where the blower attached to the motor drive shaft had become cracked and failed. I was unable to detach the blower wheel via conventional means requiring removal of the motor and blower assembly (including the housing) from the appliance. The next step required using a cordless saw, tin snips and sheer force to remove the blower housing and wheel. I was still unable to get the threaded blower wheel nut to release from the motor axle. This required using a grinder to flatten two sides of the nut and using a crescent wrench to finally have the motor ready to receive the new blower wheel. The removal process took a total of 3 hours. At this point in the repair I discovered that I had ordered the wrong part for my model dryer. I put the dryer back together after ordering the correct part. When it arrived then installing it took a little less than one hour. SUCCESS!! The dryer is working perfectly now (the wife is very happy!).
