Bet L Central , SC October 02, 2017 Compactor motor & drive gear broken. Watched the video on you tube. Husband took out trash compactor and found that we also needed the drive gear - we thought it was just the motor that had gone bad. Ordered the parts by the Model Number of the Kitchenaid Trash Compactor. Appliance PartsPros.com shipped the order out immediately and we received items the next day. Both parts fit perfectly and the repair was done in 2-3 hours. This saved us $700+ over buying a new KitchenaAid Trash Compactor. We're very happy! 2 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 2+ hours
