Danny M Oakley , CA February 01, 2016 Compresser not running Im a heating and A/C contractor but a close friend had a problem with a refrigerator that my next door neighbor gave to her, Ive been doing commercial refrigeration for 40 years but only dabbled in residential. So i decided to take a look at it. the main display panel was missing digits so that was a no brainier ( also i was told they have been like that since she was given the fridge) I didn't know that it also displays error codes! When the compressor didn't start and i knew i had power i noticed that there was a burnt smell coming from 1 of the 2 boards. As one of the boards looked like a controller board ( for a ecm type motor) I assumed compressor was this type, and because i work with a lot of these motors i assumed the board was the problem. I assumed correctly. after getting new parts ( in excellent time by the way ) and 10 min of labor, Fridge back up and running!! Want to thank Appilancepartpros.com for getting me the right parts in like 2 days! As a contractor its important that i can get parts fast Thanks Danny Owner MD Services Ca 10 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes
