Edward O Mansfield , MA January 01, 2021 Appliance: Samsung Refrigerator RFG237AARS/XAA-0000 Fridge and freezer not working on Samsung rfg237aars/xaa. Took a bit to diagnose. First tried cleaning coils but the problem still persisted. Next took of the back panel and put the system into diag mode. (Press energy save button and fridge button for eight seconds system ding once a second and inverter board red LED will blink a code or be on solid if no issue. See back of the refrigerator for a sticker with what the number of blinks means. My unit one blinking 1 time. So I measured the resistance of the compressor between windings (8.9 ohms between each of the three pins on CN03 removed from the "Inverter" board. You can do this by removing the OLP assembly from the compressor and go across each of the three pins directly on the compressor as well. Should be around 10 ohms and within 10% of each other. Also, measure between each pin and ground and make sure not shorted, should be open. Also tested OLP relay, See Appliance Parts Pros video how to remove and test OLP. I removed OLP and measured resistance it was closed(shorted) as it should be. Finally used DVM to see the Approximate 2.5 volt signal on CN75 pin 4 on the Main Control board going to the Inverter board. The signal was there so suspected Inverter (Poer Control )board. Removed the Inverter board and could see it had a burned-out area on the back. Ordered Inverter board from ApplianceePros. I had been on phone with Appliance pros when going thru the troubleshooting steps mentioned above. Once the new Inverter board was installed and I plugged the system in I could feel the compressor running. After some time the compressor got warm and it was obvious the Fridge and Freezer were starting to cool. Thanks for all the support AppliancePartsPros. Saved a lot of money !!!! Joseph Y Kokomo , IN October 10, 2014 Appliance: Samsung Refrigerator RF267AEBP/XAA-0000 Samsung refrigerator stopped cooling I submitted an online ticket with Samsung support. Had several phone calls with their customer service and eventually (took three tries) got a serviceman capable to inspect what was wrong with the appliance. There were no error codes since the Main PCB board was toast. The Power inverter was popped by another serviceman trying to diagnose the issue before the qualified guy came. (we were without a frig in the house for a month). The last guy to look at the unit figured that with the voltages being wrong coming out of the Main PCB and the Inverter board completely dead that my issue(s) lie there. I downloaded the service repair manual, found the part ids and hit the web to find parts after being quoted a nearly $700 repair bill. I found www.appliancepartspros.com and was very happy with the entire process, and the prices! The VERY NEXT day I had the parts without spending anything extra on shipping options and 30 minutes later I had a working frig again! Steven K Elk Grove Village , IL August 22, 2018 Appliance: Samsung Refrigerator RF268ABRS/XAA-0000 Refrigerator and freezer not working To avoid a so called Samsung qualified tech charging us $500 minimum just to look at it, I hit the net. After watching a bunch of YouTube’s and googling fix-techs who turned out to be parts warehouses trying to sell me parts. I started checking what was working and what wasn’t. Both the refrigerator and the freezer didn’t work. Took the back panel off where the PCB’s are. The small inverter board has a red LED light that’s suppose to be on when everything’s working. It was off. Tried to get a trouble code with the LED, still dead. Checked continuity with the compressor, overload switch and all of the wiring for that circuit, that all checked OK. Chatted with Shawn N. with AppliancePartsPros.com and came to the conclusion that the problem was most likely the small inverter board. Ordered the board($138), two days later it arrived and 5 minutes after that my $2500 Samsung RF268ABRF was working! Thank You AppliancePartsPros! Heads Up: when ordering Samsung parts, use the BOM NAME model number, not the actual MODEL NUMBER. Also, check with the “compatibility box” on their site using the BOM NAME model numbers to see if your ordering the correct part. Danny M Oakley , CA February 01, 2016 Compresser not running Im a heating and A/C contractor but a close friend had a problem with a refrigerator that my next door neighbor gave to her, Ive been doing commercial refrigeration for 40 years but only dabbled in residential. So i decided to take a look at it. the main display panel was missing digits so that was a no brainier ( also i was told they have been like that since she was given the fridge) I didn't know that it also displays error codes! When the compressor didn't start and i knew i had power i noticed that there was a burnt smell coming from 1 of the 2 boards. As one of the boards looked like a controller board ( for a ecm type motor) I assumed compressor was this type, and because i work with a lot of these motors i assumed the board was the problem. I assumed correctly. after getting new parts ( in excellent time by the way ) and 10 min of labor, Fridge back up and running!! Want to thank Appilancepartpros.com for getting me the right parts in like 2 days! As a contractor its important that i can get parts fast Thanks Danny Owner MD Services Ca Read More... 10 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
James A Chesterfield , VA August 11, 2020 Appliance: Samsung Refrigerator RF267AEWP/XAA-0000 Samsung french door refrig with bottom freezer had problem of alternating from cooling to not cooling. Samsung refrig model #: RF267AEWP/XAA; 9 years old. Originally thinking that I would have to spend major money for new refrig, but fortunately "Appliance Parts Pros" had prior feedback from folks with the same cooling problem and feedback info indicated 2 parts may solve my problem. Video on parts replacement by "Appliance Parts Pros" tremendous help in how parts simple to replace. I ordered 2 parts: Power Control Board $145 and Compressor Overload Protector $18. I paid for overnight FedX at $24, but ok since in hopes parts would solve the problem. The replace video for install of Power Control Board needs to give notice that the 3 plug in terminals on "old" board require a hand compress of the side latch and to be careful not to break any plug tabs--fortunately, I had no breakage. Summary: I could not use the Compressor Overload P. because of design change by Samsung, but the Power Control Board has apparently fixed the cooling problem. I bought 2 refrig thermometers - 1 refrig shows 42 degrees now and freezer shows minus 12 degrees. I would recommend "Appliance Parts Pros" Read More... 4 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
